IT Consulting

Sometimes you don’t need someone at the keyboard. You need a straight answer. Consulting is about making a good technology decision before you spend the money, and sometimes learning that you don’t need to spend it at all.

Things people ask me

  • What should I buy, and what do I actually need?
  • Is this quote or proposal reasonable?
  • Is this subscription or service worth it?
  • How should we set up our new office?
  • What’s the safest way to move to new software or a new system?
  • What’s risky, outdated, or wasteful in our current setup?

Why my advice is different

I charge for my time and expertise. I don’t add a markup to products, and I don’t take sales commissions, so I have no incentive to sell you something you don’t need. I have broad knowledge across many areas of technology, and where I don’t have deep expertise, I’ll say so and help you find the right person.

What to expect

You’ll get a clear, plain-English recommendation and the reasoning behind it. If you want a written summary, just ask.
